Marshall Forestry Solutions Completes 120 Acres of Beetle Kill Salvage in Columbine, Colorado
Marshall Forestry Solutions (MFS) recently completed a 120-acre beetle kill salvage project across both private and public lands in the Columbine area of Colorado.
The first phase involved logging approximately 50 acres of beetle-affected lodgepole pine across four private properties. Upon completion, MFS seamlessly transitioned to adjacent public lands after successfully winning the bid for the Mining Claims Timber Sale offered by the Colorado State Forest Service (CSFS). This second phase added 70 acres of salvage operations to the project footprint.
A significant portion of the harvested wood was sent to THE MILL(Hyperlink please), MFS’s sister company, where it will be processed into lumber for use in local construction and custom woodworking projects across nearby counties.
